We met while attending Grace University in Omaha, NE.  We got married in the summer of 2011 and in the fall, we moved to Mobridge, SD, where we call home. We have been involved with youth ministry for the last 10 years.   Steve has a background in construction, specializing in floor coverings, and will continue to do so in the 'off-season' of camp. Kara is a stay-at-home mom and homeschools the kids. While Steve enjoys working with his hands, our hearts truly lie in ministry, and we see this as an opportunity to reach more hearts for Christ.

We have 5 kids; Abigail is 10 and is very creative and loves crafting. Allison is 8 and is a ball of energy just looking for fun and can make a new friend wherever she goes. Molly is 5 and is daddy's girl, she would go to work with him every day if she was allowed to. Evelyn is 4 and dances to the beat of her own drum, well, more accurate would be she doesn't even need a drum to keep the beat, she makes up her own. Henry is 2 and is the only boy, which means he is spoiled by his sisters.
